One of the great post-war comedy writers and performers, who wrote and performed with the greats of British comedy from Frankie Howerd, who was at the time the biggest thing on radio and therefore British entertainment, through the Goons, again as big as it got at the time, as a group and individually with Harry Secombe, Spike Milligan and Peter Sellers. To Tommy Cooper, to Jimmy Edwards and many more.

You look at some of the useless mob that have such a gong, you know the type been in one big film done bugger all else really but luvvied up and full of themselves. Yet a man who brought laughter to millions through 8 decades, nowt.
