Johnny Damon signing for the Yanks really isn’t news you want to wake up to, especially when you’re already in a bah humbug holiday mood.
Mixed feelings about Yankeedom as well, didn’t think Flash would like it, Cliff at Bronx Banter seems quite happy, others there don’t.
I’m leaning towards it’s a lot of cash for a weak armed individual when better defence is what the Yanks really needed, will this hurt over the long time with a Damon arm 4 years older, when Crosby could have been used this year and then find one of the better free agent CFers that’ll be available next year.
Though thank god it ain’t the 6/7 year deal his agent Boras was after.
