...troubles. The media have been all out over the last 24 hours looking for someone to blame over Jonathan Trott's decision to come home from the Ashes tour with stress/depression related issues.
...a bit of a fluke now. It's only a little over a year ago that England were crowned World Twenty20 Champions and it really looks like a one off after yet another inept limited overs display.
...history. England chasing down 293 to beat the Netherlands in their World Cup opener. Yes let me repeat that the Netherlands, which they did with a whole 8 balls to spare.
...mistake. They don't win World Cup finals at cricket, they got there years back and then were just pipped at the post but recently they've been embarrassed early on but not now. And the Aussies look less and less invincible.
...don't help the knees. Andrew Flintoff announced he'll be quitting test cricket after this Ashes series to go and slog his knackered joints out in the one day game, was he better than the numbers suggest?
...a game of numbers. But I do wish England would stop playing by the numbers, it's just far too predictable but they teased me into bothering about this whole knockabout stuff.
It was an up and down weekend sport wise, with mainly downs as England's cricket and rugby teams failed along with Spurs but ended well with the Yanks taking the series at Fenway 2-1.
