...Wimmern. Beating Dortmund in the last 16 of the Europa League would have sent a statement, not turning up and getting roundly thrashed in the first leg also sent one.
...then. It's just a week under a year ago that Spurs went out of the Europa League after losing away to Fiorentina, it was a different Spurs side that got a draw in the first leg of this tie.
...if there was any daylight. In the murky Scouse New Year a Spurs side that is looking increasingly tired left Goodison with a point that almost felt like a defeat, certainly yet more points dropped.
...hope. Two banana skins over Chrimbo one easily handled the other rescued in the final seconds, leaving Spurs in the top four with bizarrely the best defence and goal difference half way through the league.
...Coco. As the final Europa League group game came into town, Pochettino finally gave some of the regulars a day off, while the kids ran rings around Monaco to secure top spot.
...like. This Europa League campaign has been a bit hit and miss. Some glorious stuff, some lacklustre. Most of it edge of the seat, last second, so you just knew the only way it would go would be penalties.
...in which they lost. Spurs' home defeat to Fulham was limp, lifeless, lacklustre. And probably even worse - predictable.
...the fans what they can and cannot say? It seems to work, gives the crowd a lift which in turn gives the team a lift for the home game against Maribor in the Europa League.
...Show. Cruising to the quarter final of the League Cup with seven minutes remaining Spurs manage to lose to Norwich while missing a penalty.
...week. It seems the only way to get any life out of the striker. Super Pavlyuchenko scores a screamer in a less than convincing Spurs display against Rubin Kazan.
