...week. Another dispiriting result looked to be following another dispiriting display by Spurs until a bit of luck here and there saw them overcome Hull 2-1.
...Levy saw it. Does he still believe in Tim Sherwood? Can anyone really after that gutless 4-0 capitulation to Liverpool at Anfield?
...history. After beating Swansea, the fifth away victory on the spin, it's official, Sky and the rest of the media along with some other deluded folk told us, plans for Tim Sherwood's statute to be unveiled outside the new stadium are in full swing.
...back. Well I wasn't really gonna post much about that game, what was their really to say that the 0-5 scoreline didn't already then Daniel lLvy pulled the Alan Sugar card and AVB is gone.
...players. If they'd played like that previously BMJ wouldn't have lost his job and Spurs wouldn't be facing a team with new manager syndrome.
...there. Man City went one up after 14 seconds and Spurs made it easy for them in the rest of the 90 minutes as they racked up another five goals.
...then what is. As I tweeted yesterday afternoon sometime shortly before the final whistle “It wouldn't be Spurs without days like this”.
...Everton did to us? Last season I said it was the two games against Norwich that cost Spurs. This time round was it the two games against the Toffees and the solitary point taken?
...a better time. While most managers in the league were whinging and crying about their players going away to play in World Cup qualifiers, Andres Villas-Boas probably couldn't be more grateful as Spurs get back to winning ways.
...let André Villas-Boas play. March 4th 2012 after his 40th game in charge of Cheatski the fidgety Russian showed AVB the door - well he had a minion do it. One year later after AVB's 40th game in charge at Spurs he's enjoying football.
...an early kick-off. As if Andre Villas-Boas being named manager of the month for December wasn't bad enough the first game after the award announcement was a 12:45 Saturday kick-off against 'Arry's QPR.
...Spurs. Will 2013 please carry on like this, a 3-1 victory over Reading. Well results wise, without those first few minutes and without Howard Webb of course.
...at this rate. Three wins in a week, 9 points from 9, eight goals for just two against. Surely 'Arry would have done better than this. It can't carry on, we shouldn't allow it to carry on.
...a bit. Taking enough chances when they came and hanging on to a lead to see it out for the victory. Doesn't make for pleasant viewing until after the final whistle.
...place? Yes it was only the vile scum of West Ham but with the likes of Lloris, Dawson and Dempsey playing and playing well it was probably the best home game of the season so far.
