...it was very fitting. A lot of people thought the Champions League final was Townsend's farewell so were surprised when he turned up for England's trip to Ireland.
...to blame. For all the good he's done in building this current England side yet again Stuart Lancaster couldn't help himself managing by numbers and playing his part in England losing the Six Nations championship.
...post. Very lax of me, I mean England snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Paris and then the ineptness of the Jocks at home against the Auld Enemy should have elicited something here.
...Ireland. Had better things to do and after all they never watched me when I was crap. Quite frankly the thought of watching Ashley Cole leading England out with the captain's armband turned my stomach.
...grand. Can't say I was feeling that confident about an England grand slam before Saturday's game. My confidence having dropped over the last couple of outings. And then the ref being announced.
...team? The previous two home victories, against New Zealand and Scotland, were good but was winning away in Ireland the indication of where this England rugby team is under Stuart Lancaster?
...Prime Cut. Shergar burgers are back on the news menu after it was announced today that Asda have taken all their value burger ranges off the shelf as the meat contained 80% horse DNA.

...like all the best things are. Stuart Lancaster along with the England team he put together during this 6 Nations tournament have made a great deal about how it all came about in Leeds and it led to Ireland's thumping at Twickenham.
...dolt. It was great to see sad little Andy Robinson with that befuddled look on his face after the new look England scraped a win over his Jock side.
...sixteen years on. It's sixteen years ago today that one of the great guitar players died, at the age of 47, Rory Gallagher.
...hell more than one at times. It was no surprise that the current England side butchered the Grand Slam chance against Ireland they aren't in the class of the 1990 or late 90s early 2000s sides.
...Jocks. After all they repeatedly do their best to make the Jocks look good on a rugby pitch and they were at it again on Sunday as they struggled to keep the Grand Slam dream alive.
...way. England batting, bowling and fielding like bums shouldn't take away from a great victory by Ireland in the World Cup or the great innings by Kevin O'Brien.
