...that easy. Not as easy as it being out of our own hands. And not as easy as gifting it to others. Ah, the Spurs' way, as seen at White Hart Lane and Stamford Bridge over the last few days.
...Everton did to us? Last season I said it was the two games against Norwich that cost Spurs. This time round was it the two games against the Toffees and the solitary point taken?
...couldn't. But the aftermath could be the killer. Spurs keep putting in these insipid displays in the Europa League. So far they've dug themselves out of trouble with last gasp efforts. Going to have to do it again after drawing 2-2 at home to Basel.
...a better time. While most managers in the league were whinging and crying about their players going away to play in World Cup qualifiers, Andres Villas-Boas probably couldn't be more grateful as Spurs get back to winning ways.
...ban it. Brendan Rodgers can go on about how his side got the “deserved 3 points” and the media can talk up their favourite team but for two stupid moments it would never have happened.
...Milan. Someone needed to get a cab round to Inter's hotel last night, because they didn't turn up. There was just some useless mob trying to be Arsenal in red that were thumped 3-0 in the Europa League at The Lane.
...marches on. Pissing on the Spam's parade there'd only be one team that the late Bobby Moore would have wanted to play for last night. Gareth Bale won the whole game by himself, no one else was involved.
...Spurs. Will 2013 please carry on like this, a 3-1 victory over Reading. Well results wise, without those first few minutes and without Howard Webb of course.
...with a win. AVB needs to do something about Spurs' 80 minute men. He also needs to get one of his 'keepers and one of his central defenders to spend some time together so they can understand each other in the future.
...at this rate. Three wins in a week, 9 points from 9, eight goals for just two against. Surely 'Arry would have done better than this. It can't carry on, we shouldn't allow it to carry on.
…and those at the Lane are helping them out. There’s plenty to blame for Spurs’ latest poor performance at home and yes you can say the manager played his part but those on and off the pitch contributed more… or should that be less. Those in all lilywhite – now there’s a main problem, those [...]
...League Cup game. I reluctantly tuned into BBC 5Live last night for the away trip to Carlisle in the League Cup, no sponsors here without some readies stumped up, it was the only option.
...negatives. Spurs may have played poorly, AVB may have made the wrong decisions but things were corrected and three points were won.
...went in. As Spurs put three past Reading each one of the three a savage blow to their campaign to run AVB out of town. Three games to save his career, that went well for them didn't it.
