...final warm up game. England's final warm up match before they headed to Brazil was an amalgamation of the previous two outings the bad from the first and good from the second in a game of three halves.
...Hodgson. Much has been made of Roy Hodgson taking noted sports psychologist Dr Steve Peters with the England team to Brazil but maybe it's the manager he needs a look at not the players.
...footballer's style. Apparently Roy Hodgson has told his England players that they have to sing the national anthem when it's played before games and sing it with pride.
...game? Roy thinks it was “good form” England's right-back, Glen Johnson, brought to the Peru game in England's last warm up game at home before the World Cup.
...England. Apparently the international friendly between England and Peru at Wembley was shown live on TV in Brazil. I hope they had a suitably good laugh.
...down. The media haven't half got their knickers in a knot about Roy Hodgson picking some youngsters in his World Cup squad, when they should be focusing on the old failures instead.
...good. But with that England performance to go with the 2-0 loss to Chile you might as well give up.
..'em. A little over a week away from a year before football crazy Brazil host their first World Cup tournament in 64 years and the poor old dears can't even beat England.
...England. It looked like England's hosts, Montenegro, believed their own hype in last night's World Cup qualifier. All they had to do was turn up to win.
...they're 18th in the FIFA rankings. But losing to this England side, even in a friendly in which they didn't look bothered, surely indicates that ranking is close to being right.
...unbeaten run under Roy Hodgson. With the help of a number of England players but also one of the best goals you'll ever see.
...against San Marino. I take it rain interrupted play or was it bad light? Should San Marino be in World Cup qualifiers? Or are they value for exposing England?
...love. Hapless, hopeless, outplayed and technically exposed when up against a half decent side, as Ukraine are - it does take a major side to embarrass them - and ultimately lucky. Very lucky.
