…over again. One kick in the dying seconds couldn’t hide the fact that the same team that struggled at the Euros, struggled exactly the same way in Sam Allardyce’s first game as England manager. I had originally thought that Adam Lallana’s last ditch goal had moved Allardyce from being the new Hodgson to him being […]
...wanted. Roy has been desperate to play Wilshere and Henderson and he finally got his wish and boy did it work a dream as England drew their final group game to finish below Wales.
...genius. Apparently we all have to be in awe of the great managerial skills of Roy Hodgson after England came from behind to beat Wales in their Euro 2016 group game.
...Roy Hodgson. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the biggest impediment to this England side is Roy Hodgson and he couldn't help himself from proving it again in England's Euro 2016 opener against Russia.
...and love. While England's almost A-team shone in Germany the B-team grasped their chance with both hands, fell over, let it slip out of their grasp and threw it into the back of their own net, as they lost at home to the Dutch.
...count. Looking at the scores out of ten each England player got in their Euro 2016, dead rubber, qualifier against Estonia being rubbish counts for nothing if you score.
...rubbish”. That was the plaintive cry from one viewer as the Wembley crowd sang their delight at another insipid performance by England as they won yet another Euro 2016 qualifier, this time over Slovenia.
...England. Apparently the international friendly between England and Peru at Wembley was shown live on TV in Brazil. I hope they had a suitably good laugh.
...down. The media haven't half got their knickers in a knot about Roy Hodgson picking some youngsters in his World Cup squad, when they should be focusing on the old failures instead.
...was losing it. The media are heaping praise on English Tim because Spurs came from behind in a 3-2 victory over Southampton, obviously missing the point it would mean he was at fault for them being behind, and outplayed in the first place.
...World Cup. Italy, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Brazil, Spain can all forget it Roy “headaches” Hodgson has got this one. Beating Denmark was just the prelude to greater glory in Brazil.
...White Hart Lane. After defeating Southampton 3-2 Tim Sherwood and Emmanuel Adebayor are apparently the greatest pairing in English football since the Saint and Greavsie.
...good. But with that England performance to go with the 2-0 loss to Chile you might as well give up.
