...was it? The commentator stated near the end that neither Spurs nor Cardiff deserved to lose. In the real world it would have been a travesty if Spurs hadn't found that winning goal.
...Europa League tour. Spurs at it again, a sort of lacklustre dropping down to the oppositions level as they put three past Tromso in the opening Europa League group game.
...the hole. Gylfi Sigurdsson scored the two goals against Norwich City but it was new boy Christian Eriksen playing the number 10 role who took the eye in a dominant display.
...was a fitting game. 'Arry could have managed either of these teams in a parallel universe. He could have quite easily overseen a game as utterly devoid of skill and talent as was put on by and England side as they failed yet again to win against a team that's not San Marino or Moldova.
...watching that game with a stinking cold. Well, hell that just ramped up the misery. England again put at least 4 past Moldova which should tell that country it's time to pack it in.
...in charge. There'd be as much if not a better chance of England winning the 2022 World Cup than with Greg Dyke if yesterday's showing is anything to go by. Yeah! Rat fans!!!
...then what is. As I tweeted yesterday afternoon sometime shortly before the final whistle “It wouldn't be Spurs without days like this”.
...worse. Five nil up from the first game, five away goals, against a side that wasn't in any reality going to get back level, and a home side that was second to third string, Spurs' Europa League qualifier second leg against Dinamo Tbilisi had nil nil written all over it.
...chips. We were told what a courageous and innovative captain Australia had in Michael Clarke when he made his declaration at tea on Sunday. Courage was lost when England were about to win and was replaced by a hissy fit.
...again. Tottenham Hotspur's second Premier League game of the season was much like their first and one goal win from a penalty.
...Brown. This is where Tottenham Hotspur take the role of the Harlem Globetrotters while Dinamo Tbilisi the Washington Generals. As Spurs thrash Dinamo 5-0 with some excellent goals in the Euopa League qualifier.
...agenda. Fracking Kills Dolphins!!! The BBC think that inshore fracking will kill off the dolphins while being happy about offshore, bird killing, windfarms.
...Martin Jol. We all know you still love your old club Martin, love 'em enough to not want to see Scott Parker hindering our midfield one minute longer. Love 'em enough to have him hindering Fulham's.
...town. It's felt like an age. An age of speculation, comments, no comments, deals, no deals, new faces, old faces. And then Spurs managed an opening day win.
...for the first time. It was fun the way England's ineptness gave the Jocks belief and hope for that to be shattered in a 3-2 defeat.
