…best live act.
The fact it was voted for by the public would probably be the only thing to make it bearable for the band to be associated with such an award ceremony (acceptance speech video added after original post).
Of course if it hadn’t been a public vote then what chance an act that sells out big venues in all four corners of the globe at the drop of a hat would get a mention from the type of individuals who make up “The Brits”. Shame Joe Satriani’s track didn’t pick up a Brit to go with it’s Grammy.
Anyway I only put up Paul Di’Anno videos in the last post, so this time it’s some classic Bruce Dickinson era promos from his first album “The Number Of The Beast” through to “Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son”…
Iron Maiden – “Run To The Hills”
My first Maiden single, after borrowing it from me mate Will.
Iron Maiden – “The Number Of The Beast”
Nicko McBrain’s first appearance in a Maiden video – he’s the devil don’t you know.
Iron Maiden – “The Trooper”
Iron Maiden – “Flight Of Icarus”
Iron Maiden – “2 Minutes To Midnight”
Iron Maiden – “Aces High”
I don’t know Steve Harris doesn’t look right without his Fender Precision bass.
Iron Maiden – “Wasted Years”
Iron Maiden – “Can I Play With Madness”
One of the last acting jobs by Python’s Grahm Chapman before his death, I didn’t recognise him at the time, wasn’t ’til well later it clicked.
Iron Maiden – “The Evil That Men Do”
Ahh the 80s, an awful lot of spandex going on there. Got a formula and stuck with it for the most part, live performance interspersed with some old film footage.

I was listening to Powerslave the other day. What a fabulous album. You kind of forget how good Maiden were over so many albums.
Only seen them live once – at Donington. They were as good as I’d have hoped. Brilliant.
They don’t make them like that any more
1I’ve been listening to a little bit of Maiden just lately
And a good enough band to put up their vids on YouTube and allow you to embed them.
