I had a letter published

a long while ago in the Match Of The Day magazine.

It was back when it was a weekly publication, so we’re talking mid/late 1990s here. They did get my name right on the letter but somehow I’d moved to Eastleigh in Hampshire a place I’ve never been to in my life.

It was in response to an article in which Matt Le Tissier asked why the F.A. didn’t follow the lead of the Italian authorities and indicate to all those involved how much injury time there would be at the end of each half.

I reasoned that they hadn’t done so because it was impossible to fit “TIL MAN UTD SCORE” on one of those hand held electronic boards.

Nearly a decade on and nowt’s changed.
